The Electric Crew is a family-run team of licensed electricians based in Kew. We handle the whole job ourselves: new power and TV points, cabling hidden in the walls, mounting, and setting up the network your streaming and audio rely on. One crew, one visit, and everything working when we leave.

Building or renovating?
It’s much easier to run cabling for TVs, speakers and data before the walls are closed up. We can plan your TV points, in-ceiling speakers, data cabling and Wi-Fi access points together, along with your lighting and security cameras, so it’s all ready to go when you move in.

TV & Audio Visual FAQs
Can you hide the cables when mounting a TV?
Yes, in most cases. We run cabling and power inside the wall cavity wherever the wall construction allows, so all you see is the TV. On solid brick walls we’ll talk you through the neatest option.
Can you mount a TV on any wall?
Most walls, yes. Plasterboard, brick and timber walls all need different fixings, and we make sure the TV is fixed securely for its size and weight. Tom will check the wall during your consultation.
Can you add a power point or TV point behind my TV?
Yes. As licensed electricians, we can add or move power, antenna and data points so they sit neatly behind the TV, with no extra tradie needed.
Why do my speakers or streaming drop out?
It’s often a Wi-Fi problem rather than the speakers or TV. We look at your network as part of the job, and can cable your TV into the network or improve your home Wi-Fi so everything streams reliably.
Can I play different music in different rooms?
Yes. With a multi-room audio system, you can play the same music everywhere or different music in each room, all controlled from an app on your phone.
Do you install outdoor TVs and speakers?
Yes. We install weather-rated outdoor TVs and speakers for decks, alfresco areas and pool areas, along with the outdoor power, lighting and heaters to complete the space.
