A Silver Medal Garden, Lit by The Electric Crew
We were privileged to work alongside some of the best in landscape and garden design to create Ohana, a silver medal-winning garden at the 2016 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Designed by Georgia Harper Landscape Design and built by The Garden Company and Swimple, Ohana is a showcase of superb craftsmanship and creative design, with a pool, a striking mosaic feature wall, floating stairs, a cabana and lush, leafy planting.
Copper Spike Lights and Glowing Stairs
We designed and installed garden lighting to transform the space into something magical at night. Solid copper spike lights sit naturally among the leafy planting and highlight the feature plants, the structures and the pool.
LED strip lighting tucked under each of the floating stairs creates a soft glow that seems to come from the steps themselves.
Fully Automated, From Sunset to Midnight
All the garden and pool lighting was automated with wireless automation (Environexus). We programmed it to switch on automatically at sunset and off at midnight, with full control from a smart device at any time.
Today we’d usually use Shelly smart controls for the same result in your own garden: lights that come on at sunset all year round and can be controlled from your phone.
